Please join Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) in observance of our 20th anniversary, for a community reception, program and special private viewing of The Art of Gaman: Arts and Crafts from the Japanese American Interment Camps, 1942-1946, at The Renwick Gallery/Smithsonian American Art Museum. The exhibition will serve as a framework to draw on the experiences of Japanese Americans interned during World War II and Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian (AMEMSA) communities in post–9/11 America. We hope you can join us for this special evening.
